Get the most out of your debit card:

 

Your ANB Mastercard Debit Card has Contactless technology which allows you to pay for everyday essentials with the following options :

  • Less than or equal to AED 300* – Tap and go without PIN
  • More than AED 300 – Tap and go with PIN

* Mastercard has increased the acquirer limits from AED 100 to AED 300. Acquirers are still in the transition phase, hence some transactions may request for a pin along with a tap (for transaction of AED 100 and less than AED 300)

 

Simply tap your card on any Contactless enabled device at merchants and the amount will automatically be deducted from your account without the card ever leaving your hand. Tap, pay and go, with the benefit of knowing that even if you tap twice by mistake, you can only be charged once. This technology also works internationally on PayPass enabled point of sales machines. 

The embedded microchip in your ANB Debit Card enables “Chip & PIN” security which requires your card to be inserted into a point of sales machine at the merchant side, and armed with your personal 4-digit PIN, you can then secure a smooth and most importantly, safe transaction.

 

Activate your debit card

It is essential that you activate your new debit card as soon as you receive it by doing any of the following:

  • Login to ANB Online Banking and follow instructions to activate your card, if you are a registered ANB Online Banking user
  • SMS ACT along with the last 4 digits of your debit card number to 4266 (e.g. ACT 1234 from your registered mobile number with ANB
  • Call +971 3 7000 992 and follow the instructions on IVR (you will require telephone PIN) or speak to one of our customer service representatives

 

Create your new debit card PIN by doing any of the following:

  • Login to ANB Online Banking and follow instructions to activate your card, if you are a registered ANB Online Banking user
  • Visit any ANB ATM
  • Call 600 575 556 and follow the instructions on IVR (note: telephone PIN is required)
